MOTIVATIONAL AYURVEDA SPEAKER, DR. PRERAK SHAH @ MRIAS 10.12.2019’
A guest lecture was organized on 10th December 2019 by Dr. Prerak Shah to motivate and orient the students in regard to professional scopes of practicing Ayurveda in India and Abroad. He has visited in more than 27 countries for Ayurveda promotional activities to deliver lectures and conduct workshop.
He has proven success-treating patients of varying age, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
He was invited to deliver a lecture on Ayurveda by Vienna International Center (VIC) at United Nations Headquarter (UNO), Vienna on 25th May 2005.
DELEGATE FROM BUKHARA STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE, UZBEKISTAN VISITED MANUJUSHREE RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF AYURVEDIC SCIENCE, GANDHINAGAR FOR COLLABORATION
A delegation team from Uzbekistan has visited Gujarat for having collaboration in the field of medical education. In this regard Vice Rector, Mr. Akhatjon Askarovich from Bukhara State Medical College, Uzbekistan has visited Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science, Gandhinagar on 27th November 2019.
In an agreement framed with both the Institutes it has been mutually decided to do collaborative joint research project in the field of traditional medicine in which there will be academic and scientific exchange along with student and faculty exchange program.
On the occasion of World AIDS Day, NSS group of Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science, Piplaj performed a Street Play on 6th December 2019. The program started at 11 am with the street play in the Goenka Campus after which the group headed to the nearby villages, Pindardha, Grambharti & Amrapur.
A rally was carried out inviting the village members for the street play for the awareness of AIDS. The program was well conceived and appreciated by the villagers in which not only adults but also the enthusiastic children of the village showed active participation and interest.
The program content was conceptualized by Dr. Manisha Vaza and coordinated by Mr. Jay Padh, NSS Officer and well executed by the MRIAS student
Dravya i.e. Aushadha has been given the second position in Chikitsa Chatushpada. They are the weapons used to fight against diseases which disturb human life abruptly. However good quality and standard medicines is the utmost need for combat diseases.
As a step towards this goal, MRIAS has started producing it's own medicines for its in house patients.
On the auspicious occasion of Pushya Nakshatra, we put this task into practice. Pushya word means to nourish or to help in nourishment. It is considered as an auspicious day to start marching of army towards war in order to win it.
As medicines are our weapons, the production of medicines has been started on this day. The first yoga prepared was Sitopaladi Churna. It has 5 ingredients and is indicated in Rajyakshma Chikitsa Adhyaya by Acharya Charak.
It can be used in cough, breathlessness, fever, loss of appetite, kapha disorders etc. under medical supervision.
On the occasion of Pushya Nakshatara, Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga organized a camp on 18th November 2019, it was Monday hence an auspicious combination.
As a step towards this goal, MRIAS has started producing it's own medicines for its in house patients.
Pushya nakshatra is a group of stars in Cancer Constellation and is ruled by Shani or Saturn, It has a property that a karma done during its dawn has a lasting effect for 28 days. To perform this procedure Vatashrunga (apex bud of Banyan tree stem) nasya was freshly prepared and nasal instillation was performed.
The procedure is mainly done during this Constellation period for Garbhastheerikaran, Punsavana (Holistically Healthy Potent baby) and to cure the nutritional diseases of the mothers and pregnant mothers.
The patients are undergoing pre-conceptional care at MRIAS affiliated Goenka Ayurveda Hospital
MRIAS celebrated its 4th Orientation Program with the new batch of 1st year BAMS students 2019 on 10th of October.
The Program started with the auspicious "Shisyopanayan" Sanskar to bless students.
Renowned guests like Dr Prashant Bhimani (a Clinical Psychologist), Acharya Shri Birju Maharaj (a Yoga Mentor) and guests of Honor Dr Hina Baria ( a Medical Superintendent of Goenka Hospital) and Dr Renuka Patel ( Principal of Manjushree Institute of Nursing Science) have graced the event by their presence.
Principal of MRIAS, Dr Haresh Soni and Medical Administrator, Dr Premji Sapavadiya welcomed students and parents and given them deep insight for their upcoming journey being in a MRIAS family with their Keynote address.
Faculties of MRIAS Dr Dipa Mehta and Dr Dhaivat Vora motivated students by their inspirational speech.
Indeed, it was a day of joy for the students and parents with an overwhelming response, an event to cherish throughout the year
On the occasion of 4th Ayurveda Day 2019, MRIAS and CCRAS (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences) jointly organized a day full of various events at MRIAS campus on 22nd of October 2019. The theme of the event was ‘Ayurveda for Longevity’ for which all the students, faculty members, hospital staff participated in the campaign "Run for Ayurveda" There were various events also organized like Quiz Competition, Debate ,Poster Competition and Cultural events were students participated with great zeal and this was one of the reason for grand success of the event. Winners of the various competition have also been awarded with the Certificates by CCRAS. It was indeed a pleasure for MRIAS & NSS Unit to be the host and facilitate this wonderful event conducted by CCRAS to spread awareness of Ayurveda.
Yoga Shibir was conducted in MRIAS from 05-03-2019 to 09-03-2019. As a part of curriculum activity for 3rd BAMS students. The camp was organized as per the guidelines of Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. Three yoga experts, Mr. Sanjay Shukla ( Yoga Teacher ), Miss Jaimini Thakor ( Yoga Teacher ) and Dr. Dhaivat Vora, (Associate Professor Swasthavrutta) conducted camp for 83 students covering theory and practical aspects of Yogasans, Pranayams and Shadkriyas. Students were given practical training in morning session and theory classes in afternoon, 32 Asanas, 8 Pranayams and 6 Shadkriyas as per the syllabus were performed by the students after training. It was successfully concluded along with exam on last date.

On the occasion of 4th Ayurveda Day 2019, MRIAS staff participated in the event “Run for Ayurveda” organized by AYUSH Gujarat on 25th of October 2019 at Town Hall, Gandhinagar. The second event took place in the MRIAS Hospital Campus, to give our tribute to Lord Dhanvantari and seek his blessing Dhanvantari Pooja and Havan was performed.
