Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science (MRIAS)
The Teaching Pharmacy of MRIAS is a specialized facility attached to the Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science. It plays an important role in instructing students in the traditional manufacturing, standardization and quality control of Ayurvedic medicines. The pharmacy also functions as an in-house medicine manufacturing unit that prepares medicines for the patients of Goenka Ayurved Hospital and Research Centre.
The facility provides practical training to students in both classical and modern pharmaceutical methods used in Ayurveda. Students are trained in the preparation of a wide range of formulations including Churna, Gutika/Vati, Varti, Guggulu Kalpa, medicated oils and Ghrita, Avaleha, Lepa, Bhasma, Kupipakwa Rasayana, Pottali kalpana, Syrups, Granules, Tablets and various Cosmetic products such as Hair oil, Gel, Soap, Cream, Ointment and Tooth powder.

All raw drugs are carefully processed and stored under proper conditions. Quality control measures are implemented at every stage of preparation to maintain high standards of purity, safety and efficacy.
The Teaching Pharmacy is attached to the Department of Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana and is supervised by the Pharmacy Superintendent. The superintendent actively participates in the practical teaching, training and demonstration of pharmaceutical processes to students and intern doctors.
Students work directly in the pharmacy to develop practical skills in the preparation of medicines used for hospital dispensaries and research activities.
