Dr. Hansraj Barjod is a dedicated Ayurveda academician and pharmaceutical expert specializing in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana (Iatrochemistry and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics), with over eight years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He currently serves as Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Rasashastra and Pharmacy Superintendent at Manjushree Research Institute of Ayurvedic Science, Gandhinagar.
Dr. Barjod has played a significant role in developing the institutional Teaching Pharmacy from the foundational stage to a functional production unit and in establishing a Quality Control Unit in accordance with NCISM norms. He also served as University Examination Coordinator (2019–2024), successfully managing theoretical and practical examinations of Gujarat Ayurved University, ensuring smooth conduct, documentation and regulatory compliance.
He has contributed to university academic processes as Paper Setter, Theory Evaluator, Practical Examiner, Senior Supervisor and Squad Member. Dr. Barjod actively promotes experiential learning by organizing educational visits to GMP- certified Ayurvedic pharmaceutical industries, including institutions such as Sandu Pharma (Goa), Ayurved Rasashala (Pune) etc.
As an academic organizer and coordinator, he has conducted and contributed to several professional programs and workshops, including the webinar on “Classification of Rasaushadhis” and the One-Day Workshop on Ayurvedic Cosmetology – “Lavanyam”. He has also played key leadership roles in organizing major institutional and national programs such as Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan, National Nutrition Week, AYUSH Expo – “Rasavaibhav”, Oncology CME, Orientation and Transitional Curriculum Programs and the Ayurved Arogya Mitra Abhiyan – “Jeevaniya”. In addition, Dr. Barjod serves as Secretary of the Anti- Ragging Committee and has contributed to the field through peer-reviewed research publications. His professional work reflects a strong commitment to strengthening Ayurvedic pharmaceutical education by integrating classical Rasashastra principles with modern quality standards, academic leadership and institutional development.
