Ayurveda is a discipline of the ‘Upaveda’ or "auxiliary knowledge" in Vedic tradition. Lord Dhanvantari, is worshipped as the God of Ayurveda. The aim of this discipline is to prevent illness¸ heal the sick and preserve life. ‘MRIAS’ intends to take this knowledge of Ayurveda and impart it to a new generation of young minds through high quality medical education. The Institution serves as a platform where the best of experienced and learned minds of Ayurveda engage with students in a conducive environment encouraging them to be the best and engage in delivery of healthcare to the society and population served. Therefore, creating and serving Ayurveda.
The College is attached to ‘GOENKA AYURVEDIC HOSPITAL’ with separate OPD and IPD blocks with all specialties and required infrastructure. There are 8 outpatient departments maintained by experienced doctors and dedicated staff, also supervised by faculty members. A good number of patients visit the Ayurveda OPD and utilize the service provided. The hospital provides excellent medical facilities by holistic approach. Patients coming here get Ayurvedic and modern medicine treatments from experts in the concerned field along with paramedical facilities like Physiotherapy, Yoga, Laboratory and Imaging units, etc. Students would get a good amount of exposure by practical training in medical and surgical aspects along with Panchakarma, Ksharasutra, and other therapies. Hundreds of patients including some foreigners have got benefits from the special treatments of Ayurveda in our hospital.
The institution offers Ayurvedic medical facility to rural public, also in the form of free medical camps and medicine. Periodically, free health education and health check-up camps are conducted in nearby schools & villages to create awareness among the general public and make Ayurveda health care easily available to general public and society
